1. NON-Fungible Token (NFT) 
   
A NON-Fungible Token is a blockchain based asset. It works on the blockchain technology but unlike cryptocurrencies like bitcoins, in  which each unit is same as the another, these NFTs are unique i.e. these are non fungible, they can not be replaced or exchanged. These are digital assets like digital art, music,vedio etc. Each NFT is stored on a blockchain which ensures security and validation. Once an NFT is created, it is assigned an unique identifier that is available publicly on the blockchain network and can be traced back to the creator, proving authenticity. This ensures that NFTs cannot be duplicated or tampered.


2. NEUROMORPHIC COMPUTING

Neuromorphic computing is a method of engineering computers in such a way that they mimic the structure and the function of human brain in order to make computer more efficient. Neuromorphic computers have numerous artifical neurons and synapses which can process different information simultaneously. These are more efficient than traditional computers as they can only take binary information i.e. in terms of 0's and 1's. Neuromorphic systems uses neuromorphic chips to copy neural networks at hardware level, , they work and communicate in a much similar way, like our neurons work in the brain. Some popular Neuromorphic computers are  IBM's TrueNorth, Intel's Lothian etc. They are mainly used in the areas where brain like comutation is required like robotics, sensor networks etc.


3. HOMOMORPHIC ENCRYPTION

In traditional encryption techniques, if any computation has to be performed on data, it must first be decrypted. Only then can operations be carried out on the data. This process can be tedious, as it requires decrypting the entire dataset even for simple operations.

This is where Homomorphic Encryption comes into play. It allows computations or operations to be performed directly on encrypted data, without the need for decryption, while still keeping the data completely secure. This technique is particularly useful in the current era of AI, where data privacy is a major concern.

Homomorphic Encryption is the future of data security because it enables the analysis of data while preserving confidentiality. The results of computations performed on ciphertext are the same as if the computations had been done on the original plaintext. This form of encryption has significant applications in areas such as cloud computing, healthcare (since medical data is highly sensitive), privacy-preserving machine learning, and many more. Although, it can serve as a primary method of  protecting data but some aspects of homomorphic encryption are still under research due to its computational complexity. 


4. EXPLAINABLE AI (XAI) 

We often wonder how AI arrives at a particular solution or conclusion, which can leave us skeptical about its accountability and lead us to question its reliability. This is where Explainable AI (XAI) comes into play. XAI refers to artificial intelligence systems that are designed or programmed to describe their decision-making processes. It aims to clarify how AI reaches its output, making it easier for users to understand the methodology behind AI models.

Traditional AI models are often structured as black boxes, which means their decision-making algorithms or working methodologies are not easily interpretable—even by the developers at times. In contrast, XAI follows a white box approach, where the AI system provides more understandable and trustworthy results.

These features make XAI easier for users to trust, as it gives clear insights into its predictions. XAI has a wide range of applications across various fields, such as:

  • Healthcare:- It provides a clear description of how it arrived at certain conclusions, enabling doctors to validate AI-generated predictions.
  • Finance:- It can explain decisions related to loan approvals and credit scoring, improving transparency.
  • Autonomous vehicles:- In self-driving cars, XAI can justify why a car took a particular route or stopped suddenly, enhancing trust and safety.

 5. EXTENDED REALITY (XR)
